Story:
Yankee Stadium, The Bronx: The New York Yankees have tied up the World Series following Thursday night's 3-1 win against Philadelphia.

After an RBI single by the Phillies' Matt Stairs, the Yanks fired back with homeruns by Hideki Matsui and Mark Teixeira.

The Bronx Bombers added one more with a Jorge Posada RBI single in the seventh.

AJ Burnett threw solid, pitching seven innings and striking out nine. But it was Yankees closer Mariano Rivera who came in to seal the deal.

"It was awesome game. They came through and Teixiera had a great home run. Matsui had a home run, and they made up for Game 1. It was a great time," said another Yankees fan.

The Yankees now head to Philadelphia for Game 3 of the series, which takes place Saturday night.

Questions:

2) When did this story take place?

Staten Island: A 16-year-old girl is awaiting charges after her fetus was found inside a trash bag on a Staten Island driveway Wednesday afternoon, according to police sources.

Click here to watch a video. Read the story. Answer the questions.

New York (10/19/20) - A spokeswoman for the city law department says a settlement was reached with British nurse Kerry Griffiths for $62,300 -- a claim resulting from the deadly 2003 Staten Island Ferry crash.

Griffiths was credited with saving the life of fellow passenger Paul Esposito.

Eleven people were killed and dozens more injured when the Andrew J. Barberi crashed into a maintenance pier on Staten Island in October 2003.

Homework - Refusal to marry a mixed race couple

NEW ORLEANS (Thursday, 10/15/09)– A white Louisiana justice of the peace said he would not give a marriage license to an mixed race couple out of concern for any children the couple might have.

Keith Bardwell, justice of the peace says it that most interracial marriages do not last long.

"I'm not a racist. I just don't believe in mixing the races that way," Bardwell said. "I have piles and piles of black friends. They come to my home, I marry them, they use my bathroom. I treat them just like everyone else."

Bardwell said he asks everyone who calls about marriage if they are a mixed race couple. If they are, he does not marry them, he said.

Bardwell said that most of black society does not accept the children of such relationships, and neither does white society, he said.

"There is a problem with both groups accepting a child from such a marriage," Bardwell said. "I think those children suffer and I won't help put them through it."

Bardwell said that he has refused to marry about four mixed couples during his career.

One of these couples is Beth Humphrey and Terence McKay. She is white and he is black. They called about getting a marriage license and Bardwell said he would not give them one because they were a mixed couple.

"That was one thing that made this so unbelievable," Beth said. "It's not something you expect in this day and age."

They will be filing a lawsuit because discrimination is against the law.

Questions:
1) Where did this story take place?
2) When did this story take place?
3) What is the name of the justice of the peace that will not marry mixed couples?

So people in Amsterdam just went ahead and built their houses on floating platforms.

Questions:

2) When did this story take place?
3) Why are people building houses that float?
4) Why is the sea water level rising?
