Bronx, New York - Police arrested an 18-year-old man on Thursday in connection with the shooting of an elderly woman who was hit by a bullet while sitting inside her home.

The Police said that Jamal Blair,18, admitted he fired the shot that killed Sadie Mitchell, 92, inside her home.

Investigators say two groups were fighting a turf battle outside Mitchell's home on East 224th Street in Williamsbridge on Tuesday night when someone fired a shot from a 9 millimeter gun that pierced Mitchell's window and hit her in the back.
